i tried updating my blog about a week back but i only got around to saving the draft before scooting off somewhere. and now it's simply too late to carry on from where i left off.
utilising those few precious moments before my work starts to post a short entry.
i'm in shanghai now. been here a week. started work. mostly translation for now and it's awful tricky. translating into English is fine though the terms are a little alien. translating to Chinese is a totally different situation. yesterday was a crash course cum refresher in the Chinese language.
i'm sad though. dear's come up to spend some 2 weeks with me but i've barely had any time to spend with him. so he's gone trotting with my mom. there's just 6 days and he'll be going back. doesn't sound too fun.
checking out internship opportunities for next year. one seems really too good to be true. we'll see. but i don't think being uprooted seems fun.
ain't this odd? i'm kinda missing homey ann arbor. where kids rule the nest and we get to play at being grown-ups. that sounds real dumb right? i'm turning 20 soon.
but being in charge of your daily needs, having some kind of control (or lack of) over your finances. living on your own. something of a microcosm.
off now. there's some phones to answer i suppose.
