how much is pride and dignity worth? i think i dumped it. i've been swallowing my pride. but i suppose on both sides we keep swallowing it at different times which just don't conincide.
i have 3 weeks more.

i'm back from Bintan!
it's been ages since i went on one of those beach resort getaways. i remember how we used to do it really often at one stage. those to malacca almost every year during my primary school days. and one to Club Med Cherating, and another to Banayn Tree Bintan and one to Cebu.
but of late, we've been going for those trips to places a little further off. soemtimes with tour groups and sometimes without. but the general consensus is, if you've paid to go that far, you've got to see the place and quit lazing around on your arse.
this trip, we weren't able to check in early, which defeated the purpose of getting there really early since we couldn't get into the villa. the villa is co-owned by my godsister's father and some of his friends. so we were very privileged to stay there.
lazed around. woke up late. caught lots of the sun's golden rays and swam. i even had a body mask. i'd like to think that i'm oozing a healthy glow now.
partly coz i've been watching 'Huang Tai Zi De Chu Lian', i'm rather inspired to work or intern at a beach resort during the summer holidays! this sounds a little far-fetched for now, since there are other goals which need realising and the fall term hasn't even started, let alone the summer holidays.
and a beach resort seems to be a place of ample opportunities. with the sea, the sand and the sun. lots of clean salty air to breathe in. and happy sunny rays to greet you everyday. a place where people head to have a good time and no one's going to think yo9u're a freak for having a little extra flesh. i want to go back again.
