i think i'm having indigestion again. from eating too much?
we headed to coffee bean for lunch and i ordered a turkey ham and cheddar cheese melt foccacia. and koped one-third of my mom's salad. then my mom headed out to walk about Holland V so my sis and i ordered a banana walnut muffin and a roast chicken and mushroom cream pasta. i got a mocha ice blend too! and went home feeling grossly unhealthy and indigestible. and dinner at my gran's. now i don't feel too good.
but the mocha ice blend! it's a gastronomical discovery! i'm generally a no-coffee person but that one's good. yumyum.
i decided to do a list of songs which i love. i've loved them very much at some point in time or i've grown up with them or something happened which i have since permanently associated the song with it

i've lost weight! yay!
coz i cut my hair!
i'm being stupid. i'm so bored that i've been looking for new ways of self-amusement.
anyway, if you're thinking that i shaved my head or something, you can think again. so far my maid and my sis have both commented that it looks the same. and everyone's prolly gonna think so too. unles you touch my hair like everyday and figure that it's lost most of its volume.
but i'm glad. you can't imagine how bad it is for hair to be dripping wet every night. it's cold. and it wets your shirt so your back gets colder.
oh jeez. the fact that i even managed a whole long story on hair amazes me.
i checked out the prices for Jewel in the Palace! it's 99 bucks for the dvd set and 79 bucks for the vcd set. i'll save and go get it. the only thing that's really stopping me is that i'll regret it when i do get it. coz i'll not study everyday. not do my homework and happily neglect everything just to watch the show. so i'll try to be content with 40 minutes on SCV a day.
today mr lee gave us a treat at Ah Yat Abalone at Turf City. all the dim sum gets 50% off. so the whole class got treated coz we made it to top 4 for chem in S7. thank
you mr lee!
yum. me is feeling fat.
i had bibin-bab for dinner. i asked for the no chili version but she still gave it to me. and then i couldn't really see what it was so i mixed everything in. oil, sauce, chili and all. and got a nice gooey mix which is the right way of eating it. then i ate a mouthful and figured i wasn't gonna be able to stomach the whole thing. which was pretty true. my mom ate a thrid of mine and i ate another third and wasted the rest. truth is, i got a little indigestible.
the i figure that i don't quite like korean food after all. i like kimchee, and ginseng chicken. sometimes i like their muddy soups and i love their barbequed beef(kobe beef with loads of marbling) but i'm very much a clear soup and food person.
that's kinda sad coz i've always prided myself for being a person who's open to all cultures and kinds of food.
but honestly, not really you know. i don't like ice kachang cozit's too sweet and i hate carnation milk. i don't really like all the hot deserts coz they're think and gooey and when i was a kid i always felt pukey trying to swallow them. i eat solutions coz they're clear. i can't mix too much oily and hot food or i'll get indigestion. i don't really like chili crab or black pepper crab. in fact i don't like East Coast seafood. coz they fry or deep-dry everything. and dip everything into some mucky sauce. that's why i like sour and hot chilis and not the sweet and sticky pastes.
which brings me to what i love to eat. i like Jap food. i can eat clams, octopus, cuttlefish, shellfish, oysters and all the weird things. but raw. cooking it makes me sad. my whole family's like that. and i like Chinese food. not the fried stuff. but things like steamed fish and cantonese soups. and my favourite staple? plain white rice and seaweed udon soup.
i used to think that i ate this way coz my whole family was like that. we stir-fried our veggies with water and used to cook black chicken soup without salt. but hey! i like it that way. coz i can taste the food in its natural flavours without having to decipher the seasoning. or worrying about feeling sleepy or thirsty coz there was way too much MSG.
which brings me to my last point. my mom has put me on a detox diet. fruits before meals, fruits for breakfast. for general health and well-being. i know she means well. she wants me to stop falling sick and to get healthier and fitter. she's been going to all extents to try and clear my system of toxins. eg. making green bean soup to clear my system(i hate bean soups. green and red both) which i'll drink. and buying chinese herbs and taking me to the doc's and stocking on fruits! we went grocery shopping today and i can salivate just thinking of the fruits in the fridge. there's california flame grapes and champagne grapes, watermelon, papaya, bananas, apples, pears, ruby red oranges, kiwis, peaches, pineapple and lemons etc. yum!
THERE. i've rambled on long enough. i'll just patiently wait another 5 minutes to catch my tv show.
