i rarely have chirpy entries. but when i do, they shine like sparkly little stars and remind me that yep, i do have pretty days too.

this has been my best labour day weekend ever. simply coz labour day meant just not doing anything. but the fact that i got stuff done makes the day good.

the weekend kicked off to a steady start with my weekly dosage of survivor. one of the steady constants in my not-so-entertaining life.
saturday was cool. staying home, doing a little work. watching some tv, sleeping in and then napping. dinner was great. we ate at sushi yoshida again. i've never actually gotten really full just eating sashimi, but obviously one can. i love raw fish, seriously the raw varieties. bet you guys are going eewl, but they have this really cool smooth texture. sakae, sushi and an assortment of other small jap dishes. the works. came home and watched OC!

then there was sunday. ran into father france(at least that's how he name is pronounced) at holy spirit church. he looks so warm and fatherly. he gave a good homily, the sort which makes me feel like i wanna be churchy and religious again. not the sort which makes you wanna tell the priest, hey! everything ain't all that simple.
the home for some homework. headed to my gran's place for dinner. played munchkins with my cousins! heh! i didn't lose. so maybe i didn't win, but if there was a reward for speedious no-brain improvement, i would have won! and home for 2 more episodes of OC! i'm getting addicted to that show. it's all i can do not to grab the discs and start again!

but today's the highlight.
woke up really early for a holiday. went to river valley the meepok breakfast which we used to frequent. and guess what? i went running. okay fine. so maybe i ran like 1km before walking the rest but still. valiant effort. met mr chou running at bishan park. keep bumping into him every so often.
then my sis and i had a sisters day out. we rock. dressed up nice and pretty and hit town. went shopping! i love shopping with her. we make a funny pair and she even pays for my buys! bought a white bolero-ish thing and a cyan spag. she got this green dress. i honestly like the clothes at la vie en rose. tops at least. had lunch and watched Summer Storm. it's this german film rated R21, quite sexually explicit but rather funny. crisp, but leaves you pondering over your own preferences.
we had ice cream and waffles and butter cake before dragging our tired bodies back. one should never go shopping in tall stilettos. i never knew that the foot pain you experience can give you a headache. apparently it can.
we made good time and got home for dinner.
shall be a good girl now.

all i can say is. one doesn't need a short getaway. i've spent a wonderful weekend with my family. and loved every minute of it.

can't you hear it sing?

i was just lazing around after finishing up some bio. listening to the Love Actually soundtrack. it's just about my favourite english soundtrack album. a great mix of songs. this one's pretty.
"Sometimes I love you
Sometimes I don’t
But I never ever
Never want to let you go
The road’s not easy
But the feeling’s strong
It’s the little things that keep me holding on"
-- gabrielle, sometimes --

i just pressed a button and it just erased my entry. sigh.

can't you hear it sing?
